John Greg Ball was born in Calgary, Alberta: May 01, 1975. He grew up on the prairies of Alberta, working as a carpenter traveling western Canada prior to his studies in Art and Industrial Design.

Greg Ball is a diverse and multi-disciplinary designer, whose body of work is continually evolving through collaboration with Artists and Designers. Ball has been involved in many projects including: award-winning eyewear, lighting, and furniture, to product development. Greg is the past President of IDEA (2002-04),and the past chair of MADE in Edmonton in 2005. Ball contributes to IDEA from Calgary, Alberta as well as groups such as: MoCo Loco.com, and Motherbrand in Toronto.
